omg...u mean during the firework events, there's not enough police to direct the traffic and the pedestrians?

look like the govt has tender out bids for private company to do the firework and thus from then on the winning company is responsible for everything including security and the govt will then just hack care about it,so there is just a few cisco officer around trying to control all these inconsiderate people singapore has bred thru all these years.
And well b4 just blaming on the govt or what,it is fair to say that given the inconsiderateness of our fellow singaporeans who are there in droves,how much is enough to control the crowd and i doubt even if there is adequate policing around that most of these people will bother to listen to the police when all the firework action starts. -
I think largely these people who were contributing to the mayhem and danger, are STUPID outright.
And to think we readily label our country 1st World??? -

I'm not part of the crowed, I fulfilled 25 years worth of fireworks quota while in Oz already.

Those govt offical are some cheap shyt to included crowd and traffic control in the contract

major crowd issue shld b done and controlled on the govt side isnt it -

I've went to see the first presentation and it was pretty roughly. Went 2nd time few days back and got so turned off by the crowd that I left. Don't wish to witness any accidents.
And because this is a private event, the organiser have to get their own security enforcers. -
no fireworks then no fireworks lor.

no lei...last night i was very guai lei...i was on the pavement side of the bridge lei...
though i saw some people climb thru the pavement bushes...then kana kan by the police... -
