Singapore's nightlife

from my personal point of view, i'm rather disappointed at Singapore's nightlife.
I was at Funan Digital Life Mall tonight, and after walking around for a while i found that most shops are already closed at 8.30pm, some even earlier. Isn't it too early to close shop at 8.30pm? considering this is the weekends afterall?
not only that, most heartland shopping malls closes at 10pm. public transportation ceases operation at midnight.
with these examples in mind, how can singapore has a nightlife if everyone rushes to get home before midnight?
any thoughts and comments? -
close at 8.30pm bcos the ah bengs need to go dinner then go cheong at nite.

I feel we are relatively lucky compared to some cities in Aussie and NZ.
Utterly boring; there.
We are lucky to have malls open till 2030 man.
They close at 1800. -
you should be thankful shops close before 10. if not be boyfriend sibei jialat ar!

whenever a concert is held here, it must finish before 12midnight. or else the thousands of fans will have no transportation to go home.

Well its def boring here at night. I was in HK not long ago and I was surprised tt i had to queue up at a supermarket at 1am in the morning on a thurs night!! Clubs are always full of ppl and shopping malls closes at 11. Trains end at 1am, which compared to SG's 11.45pm , Smrt trains end damn early la...
