Dealing with mistakes

Are you more inclined to believe...
a) No mistake can go unpunished, or
b) To err is human, but to forgive is divine?
And if you were to take up a position of authority, would you choose to be harsh or benevolent? Or will you simply follow your predecessor's position? -

what is there to gain from being harsh. -
We learn from mistakes and we live with it. Its how we face it dat affects our future decisions.

It'll really depend on the kind of mistake and the circumstances. For example, there's a great difference between a parade commander giving the wrong command during his unit's CO parade and the parade commander giving the wrong command during NDP. The former can easily be forgiven, but the latter would likely have greater repercussions which might warrant a tougher response.

Most of the time, a line must be clearly drawn whether just forgive or to punish.
At times, u need to punish then forgive wholeheartedly.
One may think by not punishing oneself or ppl is an act of forgiveness, but one day, an act of kindness might turn out to be a heavier punishment.
While to some ppl, being forgiven is already a punishment itself. -

Unless it is a repetitive AND horrible mistake,
or else I usually forget with time... with or without the the forgiveness...
primarily because I have a terrible memory.
My friend yesterday was just talking to me abt this guy who really pissed me off abt a year ago... and I needed her to remind me exactly what he did....I remember I was pissed off w him.. i just can't remmeber.. Why.... -

What if we are the one who make the mistake? We would also appreciate if someone could forgive us for the mistake that we made right?
As such, I will choose option B...

Not forgetting that any Laws, Policies, and or Regulations, don't belong to us. Naturally as such, there will be a "holy grail" of sorts to strictly follow.
As of this date in human history, FOREGIVENESS does not exist. -

it takes alot of consideration for someone to forgive.........which on the other hand is pretty difficult because each individual is different........and the culture of the person....the upbringing.......
many factors to consider before either is made..... -

Most of times when we make mistakes... we expect others to forgive us... but when others make mistakes... we seldom forgive them...
