High is usaually the long stretch of roah that you need to get from one place to another rather long distance place. For example North South Highway. Expressway only exist in the city. to give you short cut. Other than that its almost the same. Usually Highway have stops in the middle for people to rest. Expressway doesn't coz the distance too short. In the past when people going from one province to another they uses the highway. That's how the name comes about i guess. The highway or the by way.

Btw, any of u cycled at Mac Ritchie Flyover before (the road back from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve ) ?
Got one section need to from 1st lane siam to 3rd lane and ride upslope (towards city ) as the 1st 2 lanes are leading to expressways. Any of u accidentally turned into the expressways before?
