Help/Question on Handphones!!!

Ok i have an old phone of 8310 which has about 100 msg in the inbox..
however, once i move my sim card into a new/better phone.. the inbox only shows 30 msg...
i thought theres an error with my sim card, so i slot it back into my old 8310..
it shows the full 100 msg, not missing one...
can any hp pros here tell me whats wrong??? or is it to do with the settings etc...
anyone can kindly help pls!

ur 70 msgs are stored inside the phone?
ur SIM card shld be pretty old, sounds like 2003 stock, tat can only store 30 msgs.
actually nowadays no one care about sms msgs le. keep changing phone.

Your sim card can only hold 30 messages lor.

Nokia 8310 can hold up to 100 messages, which 30 of the first messages stored will be inside the SIM card, the balance 70 messages are stored in the phones Inbox... The best way to transfer your messages will be using Nokia Suite software to IR transfer to a computer then transfer to your new phone... However bear in mind that the message format transferred might not be compatible if you are using a non-Nokia new phone...
