Horse riding on public roads?

  wouldn't it be nice if s'pore allows that, like in various parts of Australia?

  It's actually very dangerous. Horses get spooked easily by vehicles and may endanger the rider's and nearby pedestrians when they become frantic. That's why stables are never located beside roads. Even if it is, honkings are prohibited in those areas.

  No it wouldn't be nice. There would be horse manure on the roads (very dangerous and very unpleasant to look at) and horse are unpredictable and hence dangerous animals.
  
  When I rode a scooter in England, I was always very wary when passing horses because I was afraid the engine noise would spook the hrose and throw the rider off.
