he approached mi out of no where, smiling, and asking for donation, im reaching to donate a bit, and he flash his A4 paper asking for ten bucks donation, seening how suprised i'm he resume to ask for my smaller donation, into his "tube"?with a slit opening, and off he dissapeared again...any1 encounter b4...beware of this one...weird thing is so many people around but bio me alone sitting and eating my lunch

I was stopped by one at NP also..
with the same approach.
Apparently he was not a NP student.
I was walking and he suddenly appeared and stopped me.
I looked at him
he still asked me why I chua dio.. duiz..
he also showed me wat A4 paper and watever certification, then told me dun have $10 nvm, put in any amount will do.
Then I found out that these people earns commission.. next time heck care them! -

once i was checking the classifieds and there was this add looking for "volunteers" for charity organisation. When i turned up knn ask me take 5 booklets of donation tickets go out and sell, sell one book earn 10 dollars CCB! Work whole day sell only 2...but at least got 2 pretty girls in my team.

i kena b4 outside heeren. tat gal approached me n ask me to donate $5 for dunno wat indian children dunno wat thingy. i gave her $2 since she not bad looking. she looks somehow disappointed wif the amount, expression immediately change. she jus throw the $2 inside a file, turn n walk away. nb! no receipt given, not a word of thks! to tink she try to act friendly when asking me to donate. till now, i still dunno whether i have been cheated or wat. b!tch!

there are too many charities going around, sometimes, with those attitude "volunteers", you also get septical about their work.
The very first thing a volunteer will show, is the permit issue by the organisation and singapore volunteer action corp(if i get the name wrong, sorry). Then, his pass to show his name and ic number.
I dont mind donating for a good cause, but i dislike those, who approaches you with stack of coupons, esp while you are eating.
Most of them work as a part time, and earn a commission if they are selling coupons with the amount stated. If they are requesting for donation on a regular basis(like monthly), then they are full timer who earn a fix income from the organisation...
To what organisation you donate to, always ask what it is for, which gp of pp u are helping, what is the current working finance, the actual place of the home(and not the organisation address), etc...
You are fortunate, to be surfing the net, running, studying, gorging, BUT there are many unfortunate, who cannot even do simple things on their own. If you can, do your part, for, a small part of your kindness, can add up to become enormous strength to them...

they are the professional fund raiser company. I remember is like the company gets 3% of the fund raised as comission.
