regarding tis teacher, my frend has seen it all. she was his form teacher for 2 yrs...thru out these 2 yrs, he has seen the gd n bad side of tis teacher...she can be very nice yet very nasty...
life as her form class can be rather tough... she has high expectations of her class...at the same time, she is also more rewarding towards them when they do gd...there was once when the class came up tops overall in cleanliness competition...the teacher took the whole class out for a treat on one of the wkends...she even taught them tat they shld maintain cleanliness at all times n to do it for their own gd nt cos theres reward waiting for them if they do it...
however, there were times when she was nasty towards them...there were occasions when the whole class was punished corporately for being bad...once she received a complaint from a relief teacher tat the class misbehaved in class n refused to keep quiet despite several warnings...furious, the teacher made the whole class stay back during recess the next day. they were all made to kneel next to their seats n carry their bags above their heads for the entire recess. then she made them go to the relief teacher n apologise to her individually after sch tat day...according to my frend, it was a tiring n painful punishment as the recess was half an hr long...moreover, the 1st lesson after recess was the teacher's...she ate into her own lesson time for a further 10-15min...so in total, the whole class was punished for abt 45min...some of the students were in tears while others were seemingly tired out from the punishment... -
yew!!! ouch!!! i juz tried kneeling on marbles,,,man, its sheer pain man!!! cun imagine how the students managed to endure thru it all...wonder how it was like kneeling on marbles for half a morning...
anyway, i heard more abt tat teacher...during her younger days, she would wear stilettoes to sch...nt those super duper high ones but high enuff to raise eyebrows...her stilettoes were usually black n she would match tis wif typical office attire(dark-colored blazer / long sleeved blouse wif skirt or pants)...so students could hear her coming from afar from the sound made by her stilettoes...tis helped them out of trouble many times as they could hurriedly quieten down when they hear her coming...
in recent yrs, she doesnt wear those stilettoes anymore...nw she opt for less classy/elegant office shoes along wif smart office attire...tis spelt bad news for students as nw they cun hear her coming from afar...as a result, many have been caught misbehaving n severely punished... -
HEY LATEST NEWS!!! there was an incident when a student was punished for oogling at tis teacher...apparently, he didnt juz oogle but also tried to be funny wif her...teacher was teaching in his class n he started gazing at her wif lustful eyes...the teacher caught him, scolded him n told him to pay attention to wad she was teaching...
however, later in the lesson, the student was oogling at the teacher again...tis time he went even further n teased her:" Mdm, u look gorgeous in tis attire...u look great walking ard the classroom in tat skirt. can u wear tis to sch everyday?" the whole class roared wif laughter...
needless to say, teacher felt embarrassed n infuriated...she scolded the student severely then ordered him to see her after sch tat day...in the end, the student was made to kneel on marbles next to the teacher's table n slap himself hard. he was also made to recite:" i muz nt tease or make fun of a teacher in class." to make it worse, the student was punished at the back of the classroom n the teacher ordered the recitation to be loud n clear...the student was to slap hmself left n rite once b4 reciting the sentence once...the punishment lasted more than an hr!!! in fact from wad i noe, the teacher would nt have let him off if he had nt pleaded for mercy n promised nvr to repeat his offence...
tat was stil nt the end...to make sure he will nvr repeat his offence, the teacher instructed him tat for the next 1wk, everytime she came to class for lessons, the student will spend the entire lesson facing the wall at the back of the classroom...he will stare at the wall while kneeling, pull his ears n recite: i muz nvr repeat the offence." the student sure had a horrid experience... -

Anyway sometimes if teacher ask you do un-reasonable things.
JUST DONT DO.
Worst to worst school suspend you. But i dont thing sch can suspend you for minor matters.
Teachers are humans.
They got ego, they got pride.
They gong bao si chou at times also.
And ya. According to MOE law.
Its actually easy to SUE your teacher once they punish you physically.

anyway from wad i noe, during tat one wk of extra punishment, the student was caught nodding off on one occasion...it happened early one morning after morning assembly...it was tat teacher's lesson for the 1st period tat day...after the usual exchange of greetings, the teacher proceeded wif the lesson while the student went to his usual spot for punishment...
midway thru tat period, the class was greeted by an angry shout from the back of the class...it was the teacher, she had caught the student slping while doing punishment...he juz knelt there, wif his fingers holding his ears n slept...apparently, he felt bored staring at the wall n to make it worse, he was very sleepy tat morning...fuming, the teacher grabbed the student's bag n ordered the student to hold it wif one hand...she then ordered him to knee-bend at back of the class, while facing the wall...on top of tat, he had to hold up his bag wif both hands outstretched in front of him...his bag was to be kept held up above his legs n he had to recite:" i muz nt slp when i am punished." it was a horrible time for him...the punishemnt kept him awake thru out n he was crying buckets by the end of the lesson...
well, it ended up wif the teacher warning him tat if he was caught slping again, he will be punished in tat manner for another wk... -

my very 1st post in tis thread happened in 1994. anyone here who was from st andrew's secondary school at tat time? it was our female art teacher who meted out tat punishment. the one who could be rather nice at times but always kick a fuss when we dun hand in our art pieces...former st andrew's students ard 1994 period, can u remember who tis teacher was? if u studied in st andrew's ard tat time, feel free to pm me abt tis... -
