Well, I'm not sure about the possible reception in Singapore, but in Germany there's a pretty common interesting and convenient way to sell alcoholic drinks. They store all the different types of drinks they have in giant transparent jars, while the whiskys, wines and brandies are in their casks. The customer purchases a bottle from the shop, or brings his own. Then he chooses which drink he wants and what quantity, then the salesperson or shopkeeper just fills the bottle for him then he pays.
I thought this is really interesting as there's a great variety of choice, as the customer can actually taste before buying, and it's also a very flexible system, and saves cost as well, since the customer can bring his own bottle.
yeah i saw this on TV, but i guess there aren't many people who drink frequently in singapore.. agreed?
