Oldies or Latest Songs?

tell me, which do u prefer? (english songs only)
the classics (the oldies) which features artists that wrote songs with meaningful lyrics, example: simon and garfunkel, john denver, beegees, eagles.
or new age which features loud music, example: angels and airwaves, augustana, taking back sunday and such.
personally i prefer the oldies, they totally pwn the new age music. and i think techno sucks big time, whats the use listening to some idiot trying to sing while there are heavy beats in the background?
btw i am younger den 20.

i like some oldies too, like summer breeze, san francisco -
not only modern english music. modern mandarin music gets pwned too. i cant believe many fell for modern sh!tty music. i think its those ppl hu get pwned.

Oldies...no doubt abt tat..they have more meaning and the song structures are amazing. My favs are Chicago, Bee Gees, Beatles, Phil Collins and many others to name..but mostly from 70s n 80s..: P

yeah i dont like techno too but there are some great new bands like the Arctic monkeys for instance. theyve been playing for less than 5 years, still new.

I tried to appreciate the newer songs, but some have no melody, just some beats, and are so forgettable, sadly.

OLDIES. OLDIES OLDIES. i like elvis presly Pretty Women, then Beatles Long and Winding route, then The song Killing me Softly, Somewhere over the rainbow.
Though some new songs are not bad Jamie cullim: everlasting love, Alicia keys, Withny Hilston. -
