Why exams papers need to be tied wiff string?

i think the birtish cambridge very the nothing to do leh..got stapler they dun wan use du lan wan us use the string. make us waste time where we can write 2 or 3 more points and earn more marks...

maybe bcoz of temperature different
from moist and warm place .. send it to a cold place ...

My teacher told us a story.
The British teachers are very chor-lor one. They see your paper hor, the more it insults their intelligence, the angrier they get, they can flip the paper so hard that the stapler can fly off and then hor, they won't bother picking up your paper and then consider marks gone.
With string hor, at least no matter how hard they flip the pages, your exam script won't fly off. -
Use string more classy wat... and more shiok when u stress liao and still must insert the string thru the tiny hole

Because papers are sharp enough to cut their hands. Use staplers, cut their hand, they fed up, minus marks.
At least strings don't cut their hands.
And don't make the whole stack of paper look super thick until they sian.
Lesser weight also. Singapore don't need to pay so much to send the papers over. -

But you're allowed during this small time between the paper ends and the invigilator collecting your paper to tide up your script, make it nice nice and then slowly tie your paper with the string. -
poly also have to tie de lor.. every common test/exam..
wat if u dun staple properly and one or ur answer scripts fall out? marks will fly away leh..
so better tie la.. the more knots the better. -
must remember to tie a ribbon...
the nicer u tie... maybe the happier the marker...
and he/she will mark your paper more leniently... -

Use ruler and pen and strike across the wrong parts. If not, crush the whole piece of paper and ask for another one. -

the truth is
the whole paper will be marked by different ppl
so they have to separate the essays
qn 1 marked by Ben Johnson
qn 2 marked by Lucy Brown
qn 3 marked by Will Franklin
qn 4 and 5 marked by Steven Watson
so it's easier for them to cut the string to sort out the papers -

During my O Levels' Maths paper, 1 minute before time's up, got one kanchiong fella dunno how he tie his paper (tie graph paper to main booklet ), tie till the booklet torn!
A loud "SHI.T!!!!!!" could be heard and everyone turned to see wad happen! -
Of coz use string lah... Imagine 100 people asking for stapler at one same time. Somemore cannot bring stapler in scare hide answer inside.
