Metal Plate In arm

hey, had a metal plate instill in my left elbow after a surgery one year ago. Now the doctor tellls me i can leave the plate inside the elbow or remove it if i want.
Anyone experienced in these situation or study this area of medical? Would appericate your advice about
1) What is the difference or benfits of just letting the plate stay inside or taking it out?
2)Secondly, i'm a guitar player, will removing the plate or letting it stay in affect the speed of my fingers? -
take it out
since u've recovered,leaving foreign objects in ur body might case medical complications within u in the future -
take out.
if not nx time go amerika,metal detector keeps on beeping even if u have stripped naked.

i was told b4 the theory was cos takign out the metal may have complications and + the operation would take time to recover from also. so unless theres something wrong no need to take out.

firstly i hv to know your age.
If your in your puberty or is still growing, leaving it inside may harm your elbow.
On the other hand, take note that if you wanna take out tat thingy, youll hv a scar on your elbow.
i suggest you not to take out that thing. Youll have alot of trouble, including phsio therapy, and if the wound is long, youll need to bear the pain and try to tear the wound abit so as to lenthen your skin, cos its the elbow....., need to bend. -
oh, and if your in your 40s, better take it out cos as you age, illnesses may surface and you wont be able to do a MRI with that metal thingy inside your elbow.

Hey if u do not take out now,u might face really serious problems when ur a old man
that stuff inside ur arm is some metal plate which when rub against ur weak bones when ur old will cause alot of problems -

Btw, i serving ns and there's this metal detector thing at the gate which i have never trigger so i inclined to believe the whole metal plate trigger detector theory is a myth, i may be wrong.
i'm 20 years old this year. I already have a scar from the operation and looking to have the scar surgically altered as well in the future. The problem is i didn't managed to see my regular doctor on the last visit three months ago and the stand in doctor study my case and told me to see him in three months time. he also mentioned that there was little difference but he did mention that my arm would feel lighter without the metal plate which i agree with. He did not mention about the complcation of removing the plate and gave me the impression that it was a simple operation.
Personally i'm quite skeptic of doctors intentions to make a quick buck by doing more operations. I'm still undecided about this....to be honest. -
don't know... but I know you will set off the alarm for metal detectors in airports...
