i am one of the originally not motivated persons.Originally posted by spurs88:A article in the ST yesterday talks about the benefits of Motivational Talks.
My experience with students is that these talks are only beneficial to those who are already motivated.
As for those who are originally not motivated, it works only for a few days (the most). Come what may, the realities of need for hard work will eventually sink to them and they will go back to their old ways.
So parents, school and organisation, don't waste too much money on such talks. It only works to fulfil Murphy's Law - these gurus will become richer because people think that they will become richer.
If these talks are so useful, we would not have so many students not doing well in their studies and employee not doing well in their careers today.
