I am a bit confused.
We need the new passport right now? So we still need to apply for visa?
Or no need?
How does the process goes?
The website is too confusing for me...

according to the yanks (who change their minds regularly) all you need is a Singapore Machine-Readable Passport
that is, if your bio-data page has those letters with lots of <<<< on the side of the page, you don't need a visa for a 90-day stay there..
but what they feel like doing when you actually get there, is another thing altogether... -

think need visa nowadays even for travel, cause when i went there for visa, i see lots of people doing visa for travel, even those 80-90 years old in wheelchair need to go to US embassy to have interview and make visa.

Are you intending to travel here for business, study or pleasure? The good news is that Singapore is one of 27 countries currently participating in the US government's Visa Waiver Program (VWP); if you are travelling for pleasure as a tourist and the length of stay does not exceed 90 days, then you do not need to obtain an entry visa. You need to be in possession, however, of one of those new-fangled machine-readable passports (which you do, as you have indicated previously).
Take a look at this website for the most current information on the entry requirements into this country.
(If, however, you are coming here for business or study, then the entry requirements are far more complex, and you'll really have to dig into the information in that website.) -

I am intending to travel to US on pleasure first. IE tourist visa. I have understood about the waiver program, but when I checked the Embassy website, it has few complicated stuffs. But then again, I checked and further found out that indeed Singaporeans do not need a tourist visa on the length of of no more than 90 days.
Further confirmation by you greatly reduced my anxiety. -

Obviously i have done some checking. Its just that i am confused. I heard from media Singaporeans do not need a visa. But the Embassy website states all countries need.
So i am just looking for a fast answer as i cant wait in the morning to call the embassy up and be put on hold and being transfered from one department to another just to answer a simple yes and no question.
