You question is a little general. What does it mean?
You mean how to save money with discipline?
Or how to save more money, having more money to save?
Or just getting more money in general?
Anyway, I think a good way is to control your spending. Controlling spending will lead to successfully saving money. -
I once was told by an acquaintance who owns a factory in Singapore;

Self discipline, in Singapore, the biggest single purchase we have is HDB flat and car. Do study the loan structure b4 you commit, and also the hidden cost involve that you need to know. These are long term commitment which drain the most of your income, and you need to do yr homework b4 commit. I don't see them as an investment.
Credit card, try to control the usage and understand the interest rate as how they charge.
It's a matter of getting use to the life style, if you think you can live without it then don't commit. If you hear ppl say you are stingy then just let them be, end of the day it is yr money and you are accounted for and not them.
4D is the biggest "investment" with minimum return, unless your strike rate is very high which can cover yr cost. -

Don't buy a car or sell it off if you already have one.
Owning a car here is one of the most wasteful use of $$$ unless you earn at least $4k per month.
I know many youngsters especially guys buy car to impress gals but they are always struggling to make ends meet... -

so simple.. go home straight after work, eat home cooked food, eat bread everyday for lunch(take it from your home), no movies, no shopping, no uneccessary spending
