Metric conversion system

  hi all,
  
  for those of you who're familar with the US Imperial Metric Measurement System(Yards, Feet, Inch etc.), here's a question :
  
  170 cm is 5.57 feet.
  
  When we write it out in quotation marks, is it written as 5' 57"?
  Or is it written as 5'5' 7"? Or maybe 5' 5"7"?

  Hello,
  
  In the US system, X' Y" means X feet Y inches.
  
  So you have to convert to feet-inches first.
  
  If you have to be very accurate, you have to write 5.57 feet.

  yeah, i know the format is X feet and Y inches, but if it's 5 feet and 5.7 inches, can we write it in the X-feet and Y-inches format(instead of using decimal symbols)?
  
  like maybe 5' 5'7"?

  Usually people just write "3.048 feet".

  5.57 feet
  
  would be like 5' 7".
  
  but anymore accurate.. you either 5.57 feet,
  
  or 5 and 5/8th.
