Demotion vs Being Fired

  IMHO, demotion is much worse than being fired. If staff stays a few months after receiving demotion official letter, he/she will have hard time finding a better job and likely to bomboard with questions during interivew. For being fired, staff can say that he/she cannot get along with the high rank and blah blah ..

  faced with a choice, I would rather be fired. At least I can seek a new job immediately and I can explain away the incident to my prospective new employer
  
  Its unlikely that I will take demotion and genna condemmed for the rest of your career life. Its literally berhanti liao. of course if one is like going to retire or unlikely to get back same pay type, then lan lan choose demotion loh...
  
  In any case, internally, a black mark is being left on the employment record since HR will file them against the employee record.

  There is no definite answer... Best to leave best record is not to provoke bOsS and do your best to accomplish tasks that is assigned to u.. Or tend in the resignation letter before the company fires u or give u the official demotion letter..
