Look at Israel and you know that females aren't the weaker sex.
As we progress on, it is harder to see why males should bear the full burden of military defence. When war arrives on our shore, there will be no innocents.
As males, we pay signifcantly in that 2 (2.5) years not through suffering in NS, but the 2 years that could be spent on push our careers forward. I see many females equal age to me at marginally higher posts than me, simply because of that working experience headstart. In this increasingly cutthroat world, females are given an unfair head start just because we have to bear the burden of military defence.
Again, why the distinction? Females are not weak. They are not lesser. This is their home as much as ours. We should shoulder equal responsiblity in defence matters. We have kun-niang and weak boys that are physically inept, and yet the gut through and contribute. -
while some females are physically stronger than guys, you cannot argue that most of them are weaker, physically.

+ you can choose not to get pregnant....
you never hear of cases where guys substain dmg and injuries that plague their whole lives? just to name a common one, quite a few pple i know get hearing problems cos of the shooting. -

and a likely chance that yr employer will be fed up by u gg back for ICT / IPPT / RT/ Recall manning every now and then and replace u with a foreign talent! -
Sorry but i think you people are missing the point here. Its not about arguing whether having a private part gives you more enjoyment or comparing hardships of pregnancy to NS.
We are not talking about who take more suffering here.
All of us are Singaporeans, we should stand up to protect and do our part for our home whenever there is a need regardless of race, language, age or sex.
Looking at people arguing over who suffer more is totally apalling.
Ask what you can do for your country. Not what your country can do for you. -
I very much agree with you ! you see most of the SG girl don't really appreciate the 2 years we serve in NS. They think that we DESERVE to serve 2 years in there , WHAT THE HELL ! take for grated. For now some of those girl friends already have diploma cert some even degree. My idea is this we can put the girls at those home team place ,
like police for some clerk duties at station or at MHA or some light partol job .
Civil Defend for ambulance assistance
Or hospital , Old folks home etc etc...... to take care of them
We don't need them to do all the tough job but sent them to do some light duties. Of course no need BMT but just some camp and on job training will do.
Give them some discipline acts , changeable offence all this we getting now. -

but den if girls and guys serve the NS together what if in the middle of the night 1 guy sneak to the girl's block and do some naughty things how? we all dun mind if a video is taken
But think if u are from that batch the whole block of guys kena den it is not fair right?

Women National Service - non-combat roles are plenty....
1. POW camp guards
2. Rations distributors
3. Warehouse for civilian supplies/rations coordinators
4. Children, elderly, and sick evacuators
5. Occupied peoples re-educators
6. Manning water distribution points
7. .... +++++
Many jobs you would rather not entrust to PRs and other people since your family may need these services in any eventuality.
.... Singapore should have women NS if we have a complete plan for war, occupation, rehab, and assimilation.
Moreover, to negate some of the population disparities, solitary confinements for the purpose of impeding procreation will need to be meted out for an indefinite period of time for occupied peoples. This act alone will require substantial numbers of NS camp guards and enforcers, which using fully re-imbursed labour will be too costly to contemplate for the long-term. Thus, women NS will need to be instituted.
BUT .... the leaders are happy with the status quo ... -
If girls must serve NS, I will surely strive to be a top leader. Nothing beats having young ladies serving me

Nowadays, girls getting pregnant can be a form of contribution to Singapore. Thread starter, tell your mommy, sisters, aunties, girlfiend or wife to Join the Army first and tell them you want them to Defend you against the Enemies because they are as strong as any men on the street.
Then write a proposal to the MoD and tell them to conscript all women into the army. Write in to Women Charter that this is the only way to be fair and suggest ways to let men get pregnant like this fellow :

Then they can carry on their own lineage with self-fcuk.
After all that combat practice, the women can use it on the men, and propably do not want to be messed with at the end of a tiring day. Besides, with all that male hormones, extra pushing in exercise to be on par with the men, biologically the most useless organs will be shutdown which is reproducton organs - so the birth rate will probably drop and we need to entice more PRC and FT to create the next generation in Singapore for us, SG men and SG Women to get conscripted to protect. Girls don't mind joining the army but do the guys mind that they had to admit that they are just not strong enough to support their families - so need double income. Now even worse, not strong to protect their people, need women in the war front. -

Girls, NS?
Will never happen lah because if girls got pregnant, they will be on leave for 3 mths. Within these 3 mths, who take out their job?
If girls really serve NS, then Ah Gua jobless liao.
Guys should understand, 10 mths pregnant not easy. The pain, the stress and the suffering girls going through very shiong one. 2 yrs NS beri fast pass one lah. The only thing you need to pay attention and worries is yr gf. Why? Monday to Friday, u in camp, Saturday at 1pm book out and Sunday by 2359 book in. Where got enough time to spend together with gf? Even make phone call also got to ask permission.
For girls whose reading this and currently yr bf is in arm, please try to understand, not that yr bf didn't spend time with you and you can use this excuse to find yrself anothe bf. We guys have no choice but to serve NS in order to protect the country and it's a must to serve. You think all guys like NS ah? No Freedom, also kana f, kana play by sergent. Believe me, when yr bf finish their NS, they will be more mature and strong and better in S*X
.
