one night i was taking the mrt, when this old man with einstein-hair boarded. dint reli tk notice of this funny-looking man sittin opp me, UNTIL he suddenly spat. Spitting in the mrt, mind u. not once, but lik, thrice?
then he waved his arms in the air, duno celebrating his act of 'courage' or what. wat the hell.
after that he alighted at orchard. and this hip young fellow carring a guitar sat in his seat. and put his guitar case right on the spot where mr einstein spat. erm....

He is certainly not sensitive other ppl's feelings. Just imagine other ppl spit in front of him thrice. That is rather gross. I have met some ppl who talks loudly and nonsensically in the bus like trying to attract some attention.

today 1 small girl almost fall but she didnt..
i was beside so i tot she gonna fall so i put my arm out.. incase she really gonna fall but cos she didnt..then she give me a werid look..

An office auntie apparently, took off her court shoes to air her feet.
The 'parfum' was indescrible.
I can understand if someone farts...but to share the smell of your feet? -
got one time more worse lor...i was with a grp of frens at bishan....on the way back to cck we past by AMK..knowing 6-7pm is peak period right....and AMK this type of place...den got one old man with a trolley full of stuff was trying to alight....however everybody keep squeezing in and end up he nv alight until 2 stops after..dunno nowadays where the courtesy of ppl go....

My sister relate the same experience to me while she was in Singapore.
And I relate to her mine.
I was in ultra high heels and very tasteful office attire with full make up.
The mrt was crowded.
The moment that people start to pile into the MRT before others can get out.
I shout Vulgarites and Scold them to give way while I push myself out.
Really quite theurapatic. -

ever since most students sometimes listen to songs from their HP with the volume loud, which causes incosideration to other passengers or so-called MRT commuters

I once offered a seat for an elderly lady after office hours and she declined the offer coz she was getting down the next stop, then we exchanged smile and as I was getting back to my seat, one student in uniform just sat down and when i looked at him, he acted busy meddling with his bag and took out his MP3 player...
I stood there for few seconds then waved to him. When he looked up at me, I said, "did I say I was giving up my seat for you?"
Guess what he said? "Who ask you to leave your seat?"
I said something like," you saw me giving the seat to the auntie right?"
And he said," Ya, but you left your seat right?"
I was soooooo pissed and my legs were breaking from my high heels for the rest of my journey back home...

Yesterday at around 12 something, at tiong bahru mrt station, there was this old lady with her granddaughther and this old man (unrelated to the old lady) who boarded the train. there was this middle aged man, business suit and all, (with a kiam pah face) sitting beside me (i was sitting at the corner seat, green cabin) since dunno which stop. I stood up to offer my seat to the old man coz he looks considerably older than the old lady. Then that kiam-pah-face guy juz "vroom" and shifted to my seat ONCE i stood up!!! D.A.M.N it!!! Then he PRETENDED to be sleeping after that!! WHAT THE?? I think he got a bit paiseh when i diao him a bit, then he looked at the empty seat, supposedly signalling the old man 2 sit there. the old man then offered the seat 2 the old lady. He didn't sit down until some1 else alighted. I was so pissed off by that insensitive guy lar!! Grrrr... so angry!! am i too petty?
then my uncle told me, next time if i wanna give my seat up 2 the elderly (or those who need it more), call them to get their attention 1st. -
Can't squeeze out of MRT when the door open and immediately tons of plp rush in?? Just stand at the door block there.... give them a 'sian 1/2' look... when they ask u dun block... tell them...:''cannot let me get out 1st isit??'' They want to come in fast fast si boh?? i let them come in slow slow.. cos if i dun go out 1st.. how they come in??
Give sit to elderly and suddenly being taken up by other inconsiderate people??
Immediately say:''Uncle /Auntie/ah mah... This idiot/arse hole toke the sit i just wanted to give u already.. i think u have to stand till u reach ur destination... sorry for that''... MUST POINT AT THAT PERSON and with a loud voice when saying those words. Then.. tell him/her: '' r u going to give the sit to this old lady/man? can't u see that they are old already????''
Anyway... those are what i would do if i am i to this kind of situations...
Most people will feel shame and let go if they themself know that they did the wrong things. Especially when there is a crowd..
Also.. ask the who ever u wanted to gave the sit to 1st before standing up... -
after reading all the posts....
before giving seat to senior citizens, pregnant ladies, or handicapp ppl, or those who need to be seated, try to observe their behaviour first, whether they are hunting for seat or they are standing in a stable manner. Experienced this before, offer seat to them, they did not want at all, never say thanks too.
Signal to those who want the seat and then give way to them, there are many kinds of ppl in the world...
Anyway once you are seated, you have the right to remain there...whether give way to others, its up to your discretion, although a old man was standing right in front of you...
Remember one time, was in MRT, i was reading paper, did not look here and there, the train was full of ppl. Suddenly heard a lady voice, anyone would like to give way to this pregnant lady? the pregnant lady face was red immediatly, the lady has no relationship with the pregnant lady. Was this so called 'kapo'? Since noone offers their seats, i stood up...hahha... -
thats because the lady was not happy seeing the pregent lady standing where all those fit youngs sitting there like no tomorrow... U did the right things.. those that are able to give up the sit but does not offer the help should feel ashame.

I stand up to gave my sit to an old lady who is carrying few bag of stuff. I stood up and try to guide the lady to the seat before she can even turn around to sit on it. A young kid just zoom his butt on the seat.
So I ask him to give the seat to the lady, he act dont know and look away.
I wasn't so kind as most people, so I grab his arm and yank him off the seat, scolded him and give him the finger.
Of course, this scared off the old lady too.
But it does prompt another people to give up her seat for the old lady and earn me weird look from those around.
