  Oh... ya mean the muslim saying... "Belajar sampai ke Cina" or "Learn all the way to China"... Back then, the muslim world recognise China as a very powerful nation in education, society, etc,etc...

  I think this year most of the festivities will be at Kampong Glam. Geylang this year is not that happening....
