Debit Card vs Credit Card

I understand debit card will deduct the cash in yr account immediately, as oppose d to credit. But does a debit card user enjoy the same benefits ie. discounts, rebates, etc as a credit card user (of the same company ie. visa/master)?

Don't think so. There are more privileges being a credit card holder. Why? Because the banks want u to spend on credit.

actually if they ask u whether u have a UOB credit card, jus flash ur UOB debit card and they'll still let u get the discounts. i don't think the shops are very worried about this issue

but uob is kind enough to ask merchants to have joint promotions for both debit and credit cardmembers so that they can reach out to a wider audience. -
