I only know "Doors Closing -- Please Stand Clear" from 1997-1998, then the "Please Stand Clear" was being omitted.

i noticed they lowered the pitch of the chinese (female) voice. used to be quite high pitch.. maybe got ppl go n complain.. haha.. then maybe bcoz of that, they straightaway use male voice for announcements..

There was like 1 or 2 weeks... the Patricia Mok courtesy campaign... but was too irritating and taken off the air.

Also got one time the TV at the stations... when there were not advertisements yet...
the only ad was Jack Neo's 4d movie... every 15 secs got that "pai liu li pai, hui bu hui kai" tune... so irritating.. -

i took the MRT on their FIRST day of commercial service back in 1988... or was in 1989?
back then.. no such thing as City Hall and raffles place interchange. haha. -

beacuse there are people who has no common sense. Sometimes the driver in charge of activating the announcements screw up, like this one time I was on this train going towards the city from the east side. Across me some distance away this tourist couple. After Tanah Merah stop, reaching Bedok already, instead of annoucing the correct stop, it said "Chinese Garden"... and as the train continued going west, the annoucement was going east. That poor tourist couple got confused
