Sofy's new dual layer pad - pull off top layer to reuse

  Anybody saw this ad on tv mobile featuring Sofy's new dual layer sanitary pad? Apparently, this new pad is dual layer and can be reused, simply by pulling off the top layer off to reveal the 2nd layer..and they were saying they use some glue thing to ensure that the flow doesn't flow (duh) to the 2nd layer...the add also shows girls getting very excited over this new pad.
  
  Pardon my ignorance... so the qns is, what is so beneficial about this sanitary pad.. over normal pads? The only 2 I can think of is...
  
  1. Don't need to bring so many pads out..
  2. More enviromentally friendly as you use it twice instead of using 2 normal..
  
  I just can't help but relate the ...errm.. grossly to doing big business... where u wipe once already.. take off the top layer.. and wipe again..

  If the cost of this dual layer pad is twice as expensive as one layer than might as well stick to one layer rite? Unless the price is only slightly more expensive than single layer?
  
  Btw, why pads got logo like Breathable? Super Dry? Ultra Thin? concept har? Doew pad work in the same manner as baby diapers?

  next to be on the line is washable look out for it FI, its the cheapest

  really ? interesting, i thot once the fluid will be absorbed into the pad itself ? wouldn't it be unhygenic to come into contact with the blood when tearing off the top layer ? What happen if it soak thru ?
  
  unless its cheaper than buying 2 of the same pad, otherwise it might not be worthwhile bearing in mind hygene and asthetics - it will be thicker no ?
