That's what I thought as well. But NUS is fiddling with electronic submission, and there does not appear to be any obvious hyperlink ref to the prescribed cover page.Originally posted by ditzy:There is a prescribed format your uni should have provided. It's a sheet where you usually put it before the contents page of your big assignment or thesis. You have to provide your name, student number, address(yes, don't laugh), and for some cases, your supervising lecturer to sign it.
maybe he is the prof?!Originally posted by Fatum:what's with all this ? ... doesn't the profs make you sign a declaration before the start of any course ? ....
And make themselves accountable?, yeah, right sure.Originally posted by Fatum:what's with all this ? ... doesn't the profs make you sign a declaration before the start of any course ? ....
Maybe maybe not. I know I signed something. TBH I think the declaration is extraneous. Chances are that when you enrolled, you would have signed up to comply with the University's various policies and rules of conduct. A declaration of non-plagiarism is probably buried somewhere in there.Originally posted by Fatum:what's with all this ? ... doesn't the profs make you sign a declaration before the start of any course ? ....
I wish - days of ogling at young girls, sitting around pontificating on philosophy and other nonsense, doing nothing much whilst earning a decent wage...Originally posted by FireIce:maybe he is the prof?!

non-plagiarism includes the declaration of non-plagiarism.Originally posted by scabstermooch:Hey, I need some help please.
I am writing an assessed essay and the instructions state that I have to include a declaration of non-plagiarism on the cover page.
However, I have not been able to find any such thing, either online or in IVLE? Anyone knows better?
NUS girls worth ogling at meh?Originally posted by scabstermooch:I wish - days of ogling at young girls, sitting around pontificating on philosophy and other nonsense, doing nothing much whilst earning a decent wage...

I would like to hear you tell them straight in their faces that they are worth a squirt or two.Originally posted by scabstermooch:Ooh - believe me, some of them young things are worth a squirt or two!
Eh, the declaration is mandatory. Nothing to do with citrations etc.Originally posted by charlize:CB, with proper citations and references, would you even need to have this fcuking non plagarism shit?
Damn, is nus the only uni that requires this?
Why?Originally posted by LazerLordz:cut him some slack okay..![]()
Honestly, I would rather show it to their faces...Originally posted by charlize:I would like to hear you tell them straight in their faces that they are worth a squirt or two.
You go tell your prof and explain to him.Originally posted by scabstermooch:Eh, the declaration is mandatory. Nothing to do with citrations etc.
Even if the instructions clearly state that one must include the declaration?Originally posted by charlize:You go tell your prof and explain to him.
If you give him or her proper references as to where you got your data, why do you still need to have this non plagarism crap.
For goodness sake, you are an undergrad, go act like one.
Don't fcuking accept everything the prof tells you.
And make them laugh?Originally posted by scabstermooch:Honestly, I would rather show it to their faces...
