People depositing their snots into library books

  Basket, this evening i visited library and borrowed a book on IPPT, just now when i open up the few pages, knn, no mistake about it, 2 pieces of dried snots, flat and light green, stuck in the middle between pages. I think the first thing in the morning is to go to library and return the book for a new copy. Think next time must wash hands after handling library books

  Always handle library books with latex gloves.
  
  Sometimes I wish I could autoclave the books before reading.

  I usually go for the newest books, so often I'm the first borrower. But I don't deposit any sort of bodily excreta on the books, except for sweat.
