Entrepreneur - Would you like to be one?

  Question No 1)
  How many of you would actually want to be an entrepreneur and start up your own business straight away after graduation so that you need not face the sickening face of the boss, and the sick colleagues of yours' which you dislike?
  
  Question No 2)
  How would you intend to find the capital to start your own business?
  Below are a few options, you may choose either 1 or more.
  If not give some better options, thank you.
  
  1) would you ask help from your parents?
  2) would you go ask for loan from the banks?
  3) would you ask your friends to chip in and do business together?
  4) would you sell your business proposal to the likely investors?
  5) would you find your own way to find the capital to start your own business?

  At what age would you like to be an entrepreneur?
  
  1) When you are still in polytechnic - Poly Push-Carts / Others
  2) After graduation
  3) Work until a certain age with a fat savings maybe around 30yrs old?
  4) Using your retirement money to start a business?

  For me personally, i would choose to start my business on my own after i graduate using my own capital.
  
  At a young age, the risk is min, with lesser liabilites. Everyone agree?

  No, i don't want to be one.
  
  1) no off day
  2) no sick leave
  3) if my company make $$$.... gahmin Tax
  4) if no make $$$.... I 'settle' myself
  5) work day & night with no OT..... in the end, company still close shop
  
  Unless you very sure, best not to jump in right out from school.......

  Alright, I'm 17 this year and am in a business since 1 year back.
  
  It's partnership with my friends dealing with Corporate Gifts and being distributor as some of the machines; eg, Mug Printing.
  
  As it's Corporate Gifts, I'm setting up a online website to work from home so that we cut down on our overheads.

  How are you doing so far then? As far as I know that industry is pretty competitive with quite a high setup cost. Am I right?

  My plan for entrepreneurship is this:
  
  1) Study
  2) After education, work in relevant industry to gain experience
  3) After 4-5 yrs of work experience, should have enough capital to start a small business, so quit current job to set up new business in similar industry, most likely as a complementary business rather than a rival.
  4) Growth of company, merge with original company, further growth and promotion
  
  Of course, things aren't going to go according to plan, but I have contingency solutions.

  Please keep your trade secrets to yourself, but while at it, would you mind sharing your experience of clinching sales/dealing with companies at your age?

  I plan to work a few years in oil rig companies to save some capital, after that go and invest in some business. No point working for ppl all your life. You will never make it big.

  looks like the majority of you guys are thinking of work first than have enough captial.
  
  but if you were to think more in depth, if now the amount of capital is just $xxxk amount, after u work a few yrs later, how much will that capital be in few yrs later thanks to inflation
  
  the other thing is by the time you come out to start your own business, where and who do you approach to join you as your business partners?
  
  when you and your colleagues are working hand in hand, it might be okay, but when it comes to the boss role, with money involved, friendship may even turn sour etc..and another character emerges
  
  the 3rd thing that i notice is that when you just started, the odds are slim and moreover, its always the big sallow the smaller biz.
  
  so what competitive edge do most of us have?
