Is speed-typing course useful?

If you wanna learn how to type fast. Try playing MUD = Multi Universe Dungeon or go on MIRC chat room to train. Don't spend stupid money on such course

just spend more time on heavily active forums and type in standard english, sure as heck helped...

wat u need to do is having drills.
get a different article everyday, time urself one minute and type.
that's how we were trained in ITE. -
Why spend money on speed typing courses? The most effective way is to flame someone in sgforums, and wait for him to flame back. You'll be so busy typing out replies, you won't realise you're typing faster than you thought you could.

but the position of the hand not right -
Utterly useless in my opinion. You just spend a few hours there, learn how to place your fingers correctly, learn how to type. To really learn, you have to practise, practise and practise. There are games around which helps. And type in proper English, it sure helps.

My typing speed is only 49 wpm.. zzzz -
Just get a document to type and practice. Soon you will realised you won't even need to look at the keyboard to type. It just take time. Practive makes perfect!

switch off the lights... type wif ur fingers and... dont look at the keyboard, focus on the screen... join trivia games... which people compete to type an answer as quickest as possible. tat'll help.

My friend type so fast, he literally burnt his keyboard.
