a typical example of trying to have creative looking structure but at the same time endangering the drivers, at the end of the day even if the design wins tonnes of awards it speaks little for the designer when end users have to be on their toes 24/7 when they drive thru.
look at it from the driver's perspective, anyone who drives a big vehicle would have a hard time going thru as u really have to be on a lookout not only for your height clearance but your side clearance as well. -
another example of poor archi-design....

Don't think it's got to do with architectural design. Lorries like that should enter the loading bay, not those lanes meant for cars.

and i dun think the height and width limit is important tot he relevant authorities and i don't expect it to be for a commercial building.
if it was a HDB then maybe, but for a commercial building they can decide if they want only triangular lorries to pass without cuasing a problem to the public -

singapore authorities are especially strict on regulations compliance...
and wat u draw might not be the eventually design u get...
coz there might be errors here n there due to many reasons be it the architect's, engineer's or contractor...
and a new set of drawings with the changes would have to submitted again... -
The design of the bridge's arch is all wrong.
It looks pretty, but restricts size of vehicles that clear it on both sides.
They should provide a separate undecorated entrance that leads to Loading bay for vendor and supplier trucks.
This I say is a stupi mistake on the part of designer. -

i won't know what they check for in truth. but i would say i don't really need them to check the lorry entrance height. I feel it can be up to the architect and commercial identity, if they screw it up they can spend money and redo it. its their problem and no real concern to the public; dun spend tax money on doing such checking for them -
