What should i do before i bring in new products?

  As a supplier, i wan to bring in a new product which may not meet singapore's consumer product regulations. So what should i do before i can start selling it?
  
  what organisations will help me certify the products conformance? Please help if you can.

  u muz be specific in wad product ma.diff products go to diff depts for approval ma.n nobody brings in a huge qty b4 getting approval.

  You'll need to get clearance before bringing them in. Even imports of machinery and electronics devices requires proper CI and import permits else the Custom will detain shipments.

  what product do u intend to bring in? Got many type of departments leh. example if remote control car have to go to IDA with the relevant documents. And also if food product must have importer address on it. Also if approved when the stocks are imported from overseas, when clear cargo at customs need to have commercial invoices (a must and very important) and accurate packing lists etc. Maybe u wan to prepare LOC also lol.

  i want to bring in a Diode Pumped Solid State laser for home consumer use. i think should be Consumer Product Safety Authority if i'm not wrong. Still looking through their site now..
