Do U Have Friends Who Talk n talk n talk (about themselves )

I have this fellow female friend,S. She only likes to talk but not listen. For example today something happened to me,as friends u surely want to talk to your friends mah right)When u tell her:''Today hor i got a dispute on ...''Then she will go:'' Wah,2day my work alot leh''Then she will continue on with her tale. later go foodcourt i saw one stall sell horrible food i told S''This stall very very yuck, never ever try.''Then she will say"Hmmm, the set not bad leh,we share ok? I so irritated i told her''were u listening?I juz said the food is bad!'' Or we go shopping with friends and surely comment on the things we see right? You tell her any thing like''This shoes nice hor?'' S will not bother replying u and instead ask you other things. She will talk on and on about her life her work her hubby,but when u try to talk:''My work tod...''She will suddenly jump in and say''I want highlight my hair'' Slowly i did not even want to listen to her and as she talked i put on a very very bored expression. She ask me why i say:''Nothing, listening to your life story loh'. The dispute incident i had wanted to mention to her in fact twice liao,but 2 times also kanna cut through.
We all at times will interrupt when others talk,but its cos we are excited that we have comments and own experiences to share,but mostly after interrupting,we allow the other person 2 continue talking AND listen well.
But this S,she does not listen,interrupts and does not seem interested in any one else by herself.Boring,now i dun even talk to her as it spils my mood. Actually got many chit chat but know she like that what for talk somemore

Usually, if I cannot find a radio for my fishing trip off shore, I'd call someone like that along so he/she can be my radio...and never runs out of battery! -
I got a feeling people like that have low self-esteem. I have 2 friends who are like that.
Friend A -
talks abt his achievements non-stop and how gd he is with the financial markets. Since poly he was like that, 7 years later still the same. A leopard never changes its spots
Friend B -
talks abt the way he organises his work and how good he is. Always talking abt work, work and work
BIG turn-off. -
my friend always talk about his dad toyota wish. i there, orh, okay, haha.

HAHA.. i got a fre who is also like that.. she always complains bout her work, her colleagues... even during weekends, when we go out shopping, she will start her conversation bout her work life again.. come on, we are out to have fun not to mention bout work again.. then when i try to tell my own stuff, then she will ignore me and starts her own conversation again.. sometimes i really feel so irritated. fres suppose to share woes with each other but in the end, she is telling her own story instead.. feel so pek chek.Originally posted by snobbish:I have this fellow female friend,S. now, whenever she tok bout work , i don usually entertain her.. jus nod in silence without giving much comments.. i even tell her to start a blog and vent all her anger inside..

She could see i was bored as hell so she tried to make conversation about my work. It was so fake as you could simply see she was not interested! But when i tried to answer her and my smile came back,she interrupted again less than 5sec later

Think we shd leave these people alone. Telling them direct in the face is gonna leave us one friend less under unhappy circumstances.
But in my heart, i will go, "Go to hell and talk to yan luo wang lah!"

Actually in the Past i got talk...But its about games and stuff...Normally if i talk to people about games they will usually repsond cos they got the same interest...
But sometimes when i mix around with my Ite or Poly classmates...Dont know what to talk about....So i usually resort to other things of my interest lor...
But the funny thing is that...My interest and their interest are not in common...they play and talk maple all day...What i play is something totally different from them...ITe friends they all talk about pub and KTv... For me i usually dont frequent there...So normally i dont talk about that...They ask me to play Bball...And i dont do basketball at that time...
I think its called a culture conflict...or something...
For me i come from a middle class family...But for them...they do work for their sch fees and stuff...They talk more about work...Sometimes is i dont stick around with them cos i dont know what to talk about...
Like i said again...Different classes and cultures of people... -
