  hmm mine is sony mdr-v300... bought many many years ago... and still serving me well.

  Hey mine too! I bought mine in 1998, and its still in use. 80 bucks it cost back then, but uncle sold me for 72.

  Better, got ........ cost more lor . They also hav 4 to 6 model. But cost a bomb Wish i even hav the cash just to buy E3c...... even that is too $$$$$

  are you only considering earphones?
  
  for $370 i would choose grados for open headphones, maybe UMs for canal phones, not to sure about the exact price.
  
  shure e3c seems to be located in a poor price-to-performance bracket.
