Why need 6 subjects then can go JC? Why cannot 5 subjects?
It's one subject difference only mah.
Let say there is this guy who really wanted to study in JC but his chinese Sux, and the sec sch he's studying only allows him to take the maximum subject of Six.He is chinese very lousy and the teacher forced him to dropped chinese. He is left with 5 subjects now. By the way, the student dream is to enter to uni. ALthough the student can go uni via the poly route, but what he want is to study in a JC.
The question I want to ask is, Can JC accept a student with 5 subjects?
If yes, under what condition? -
with his state, he may not survive in JC well

so this guy...already dropped chinese liao?
cos if he fail with F9...then his other subjects very good...like A2 (2x5+9=19)or A1 (1x5+9=14)...maybe still got chance to go JC...idea is that he needs to use 6 subjects as the entry criteria...so he die die also needs to have 6 subjects...
if already dropped chinese...as in not registered for 'O' levels...then I think he can forget about it. -

JC must keep their standards. If that guy cannot even juggle 6 subjects, going to JC will only ruin him.

But then... even if ur L1R4 is just 20 .. i advice poly might be a better choice ... -

pardon me, but is anyone kind enough to explain what is L1R4? and how Olevel grading works?

R4 relevant 4 subjects
The first language is usually English for people who don't take Higher Mother Tongue. But I never heard of people using their Higher Mother Tongue results as their first language... -
