Why is it so hard to find a room in Singapore!!!???

  if u have any frens in sg...stay with them 1st....take a wk or 2 to go hunt for apartments...before you start work.....
  Alternatively, go to those budget hotels....i believe there are some....stay for a wk or 2 also and go confirm your rented place before u start work...simple lah....

  Depending on your length of stay. And the main reason I think you're unable to get a room now is that you're still in Aust and hence the landlord are unwilling to finalised everything so early.

  Ermmm....I need to clarify somethings.
  
  If its room only. its $350 per month for a corridor bedroom with no furniture. The location is Central East. No MRT as yet as the Circle Line is still building up.
  
  its4 busstop from Shenton Way, 8 busstop to Orchard Road & 2 busstop to Katong.
  
  I dont charge by per person.
  
  There is aircon (if you really need it); fridge, cooker & washing machine.
  
  As per HDB regulations, to rent out the whole flat, tenant and landlord will need to sign agreement at the HDB. The whole flat is rentable at $800 per month. Not including Utilities & misc charges.
  
  But.....because I am selling the place, so its rentable till Jun 07.

  i was wondering, anywhere to rent thats near Changi airport? preferable a two room flat/apartment. what would the price be like? fully furnished?
  was thinking pasir ris, tampanies, simei, but not sure which areas are available.
  any rough information?

  But you don't allow 'men' into the house... I think that ought to attract a significant discount.

  thanks alot! HDB would be good!! the only criteria for me is to have air cond
  and near to changi airport

  Don't be mean lah. Everyone has their own personal perferences when it comes to renting a room. I personally would not rent any place that do not allow my friends (men or ladies) to come and visit or hang out...

  If you rent the whole house, who is there to restrict your guests?
  
  But if you have another housemate. Why are you restricting your housemates preferences for peace and quiet?
  
  Is it also fair for your housemate to bear the electricity, water and cleaning fees needed created by your guests?
