CHEAP perfumes...

ANY perfume EXPERT in here..??
Just wondering what are the usual difference between those normal expensive perfumes and those CHEAP brands which can almost smell the same....?

it ability to last.
Expensive parfum, if you discount the marketing hype they put in it. Has the ability to last longer then those cheapo perfumes smell-alike.
And they dont smell the same after 2 hours.
thats when the certain level of notes wears off and you got a different smell at the end. -
Woah, that's a scary thought, imagine 9am you smell like escada, and at 11am same day, you smell like boss by hugo boss.

Cheap perfumes just smell weird. Those "smell-alikes" you find in Guardian or Watsons are very different from the real thing !

Try johnson & johnson baby cologne. Think its S$3.85 at Mustafa Centre.
You can smell baby fresh.

How long the perfume would last I thought has got to do with the brand of perfume you're using also..? That some are not meant to last that long...? Or am I wrong?
Btw, how do we even know if we're holding the real thing we are buying...? How do we tell them from imitations...?? -

Do they even smell similar? as in the cheap ones with expensive ones. I just know cheap ones, except for Adidas, smell like sh|t.

they do smell the same
my colleague bought some tester bottle.
but my friend (who was a salesman for perfumes for a short while) says that such perfumes could probably turn stale sooner than the expensive versions.
whatever it is, i'm not gonna risk my money on it. -

smell very 'suan'..like milk beginning to zao suan like that..

Yes and no. Depends on type. Eau Toliette of course cannot last as long as parfum. You need to read the box to find out how much of alcohol content in each different, same range perfume. Then you can always try layering the scent to last it longer.
Only a sensitive nose will be able to tell. -
i remember having a field trip to lil india.they sell 2 bucks perfumes at little india smell so bad..
