The length of time taken for a degree or any qualification is not so important. What's more important is whether:
- the school you go to is a recognised institution.
- the degree is recognised especially in Singapore.
- the course you are about to take is going to help you get a job in future (check the job market constantly), besides just having interest.
- there are other alternatives.
What is your ambition or purpose or calling in life? Where's your strength? What do you like to do? Which area(s) in your life receives the most compliments from others?
You might want to consider the above questions. Ask them yourself.
For me, I'm majoring in Psychology and my main ambition? - To be a counsellor/psychologist. Of course, that would be another 6 years for me? Yeah.
It's important to choose your education path wisely. Start doing research on the course available from this school. Check first if it's reliable or just a fly-by-night institution. Check those courses from this degree - are you enthusiatic about their synopsis being described? Can you cope?
However, you might want to consider taking a diploma first? There's no rush to complete your education path (unless you have financial difficulty). What's more important is the skills learned and the knowledge that will remain with you, together with your qualification of course.
I'm a diploma graduate. And I'm now studying for a degree in a private uni. And I'm already past 21. There's nothing wrong about it. In fact, I'm enjoying my study life.

Please think through about committing yourself in your education. It's just another big decision second to marriage.
