Words of encouragement

  Are there any ideas on how to encourage ppl?
  
  Sometimes a person tells me his ku3 zhong1 but yet i have nothing to say that can make him happy, really feel bad.
  What can i tell him?

  Sometimes when people confide in you, they're not asking for encouragement. Just being there to listen to them is good enough.

  I agree. Sometimes you don't have to say anything. Just provide a listening ear and it'll be enough..
