I'm in NUS, I'm given a chance to intern at MY DREAM COMPANY but they want me to intern till end Jan 2007.
Problem is, I can only intern till 19 Jan 2007...coz school starts.
How,how,how??????
Should I give up the chance to intern at MY DREAM company coz of sch starting??? -

Don't be an idiot. Do the internship. You're merely missing the first 2 weeks of school - you're not going to miss much.

imagine u can do 3 months at your dream company compared to 2 weeks...
even better...they might see you have good performance and employ u after u graduate.... -

Just do it.. Seriously, 1st 2 weeks is nothing. You can catch up easily.

Why don't you discuss with the company about your situation? It's nothing to be afraid of. Just be honest about it. Depending on your schooling hours, perhaps you can consider to work "part-time" after 19 Jan until end of the month. Good luck!Originally posted by Jerina:Help.

What is your dream company?
do paper works, email reports, call supplier/buyer, do programming, submit documents, record meetings, photocopy documents, scan pictures, check for production defects, pretending to work in front of boss, writing postik, preparing drafts, waiting by the copier machine, using calculator, searching achives, attending seminars. -
say school is starting loh
u can work part-time or work from home
companies shd understand tt if they get interns, they are still schooling, and they shd be putting tt into consideration -
I would miss school anytime.
Kids, don't follow me.
But on a more serious note, after doing the internship for a few weeks, if it's mandane non-productive work that anyone can do, I don't think there's a need to stay till end of the month. And if they don't let you go, I don't think that it's a dream company. At least one with a good HR, that is.
