  its like a prison, a mental institute for those people-things. you know, like geylang or changi village, without it, vice would flood all over the place like a tidal wave and infect other forums, black market would exist and beyond our control.

  but it's one kind of uniqueness in sgforum. don't think i can find anything like that in other forums. also, i think without bars, sgforums will be the same as other forum i found in uk, malaysia, etc.
