  1) the design is nice
  
  2) the brand name
  
  3) you really believe its durable and of high quality
  
  4) other people have so you also wanna have

  yeah i go for unique-ness, better if its a not-so-famous brand. and of course the design must be good too. but i dont really find myself bothering so much about durability. as long as the price justifies it
