The reason why IIT is not advertised becos they accept mostly their own Citizens
the 2nd thing is that u are mind dumbingly "right". US silicon valley accepts IIT graduates who are "not recognised"
As I said, I am not dumb. Go get your facts right.
First off, you are taking a degree in IT, IT with Management or any of the tech degrees(both which IIT is best known for) and competing with a cohort of roughly a few thousand. Given that you as a Singaporean graduate along with the local Indian graduate, where can you apply for work? Not only that, to work in Singapore, you need to have the above degree with the LAOTSE plan(the triple Singapore universities student exchange plan). Next, you have to compete with fellow classmates who are willing to accept a lower pay than S$1K. Or else, if you are prepared to imigrate to US to accept a IT job, you have to start preparing for a green card. Still you have to fight with your fellow cohort who are willing to accept lower pay than you.
Another given is that for Indians, IIT does have subsidies for tuitorial fees wherelse any foreign students are ineligible.
In fact, any Singaporean student will be at the losing end of the exchange.
