Singaporeans good or bad?

Based on charity programme and incidents or behaviour.
E.g: Charity programme vs flag day donation. ( because of rewards people
donate more )
E.g: Girls, in whole, are they materialistic?
E.g: smokers in general. are they selfish for smoking in lifts or non smoking
area?
E.g: Singaporean donate generously in tsunami fund or salvation army.
Are Singaporeans becoming too selfish and materialistic. or generous, kind and helpful. Give example to support your statement.
General Discussion. no offensive/ prejudise on anyone or any organisation.
