I cannot stress how important it is not to lie on your resume.
Employers tend to verify the truth of your resume by calling your previous employer - while not expecting anything nice, they usually do not expect fraudulent conduct.
Esp. for professions regulated by specific bodies.
In any case, your superior your superior la:
You confront him - big X on you.
You tell his potential employer - big X on you.
You tell your current employer - even bigger X on you.
Frankly, IMHO - don't bother. -

Last I remember faking your resume is a criminal offence and can be sue by the hiring company if they hired you.
Now on real world issue, most people sex up their resume a little but often avoid lying outright.
Example: You work in hanger logistic.
You could say you manage the coming and going of deliveries, tally stock count and make sure the product is well stock for merchant/supplier/customer/distributor/etc.
It is not lying but you are making your task sound more important. -
Companies will keep P Files of their employees. The ex employee's prospect employer can do reference checks with the candidate's past employers.
