Change of tyres/ wheel of bicycle.

  Heres the situation.
  My bike's front wheel has just got punchered. I have no will of repairing it but i would like to buy a new tyre instead.
  
  Now heres the problem.
  The front wheel i am currently using now is a road wheel. To change to a mountain wheel, do i need to change the whole rims or 'carcass' of the wheel or just the tyre itself
  
  Updates: My current broken road tyre is 1.4"
  and im changing to a mountain wheel.
  
  Do i need to change the rims so as to suit the bigger mountain wheel?
  
  Size is all 26'

  if your that front wheel is similiar size to mountain bike type, then its ok ie 26, 24, 22 inch

  I have replied u already wad...trying to attract attention or wad...jus change the tire will do lar...my frene used to use a 1.25" slicks nw using 2.35 knobby...
