this is the easiest and most often performed one by street magicians. the next trick i'll reveal maybe less popular but more impressive.
Oh, and if anyone asks to take this down, I will do it instantly to avoid spoiling this trick for professional magicians.
that particular scene is confirmed as a wire suspension. david blaine performed the balducci levitation first, then he showed the same audience, telling them how magicians do it with wire suspensions. with some clever editing of sequence, we think he levitated without the tiptoe.Originally posted by hatemeifuwantto:erm..theres a website abt all david blaines magic la -.- anyway he did this trick on the streets where many ppl walk pass lo..n then the camera view was behind with both feet being lifted.theres no way he could tip toe without ppl knowing..
Be patient. I'm still trying to type out the explanation of this: http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=217355Originally posted by gLc:

Don't treat me as the enemy. I'm here to help you all kickstart your interest in magic.![]()
the reveal to the cigarette one is up now, i'll do more trick reveals tomorrow. typing and uploading images is tiring.Originally posted by gLc:quick!! im anxious!!![]()
yup you are right, all magic is made up to bluff the audience. but some kinds of magic are really effective at doing that.Originally posted by weeie:wols....
there are already many vidz about the levitation... criss angel has already explained/demonstrated how is it done...
all are made up to bluff the audiences haha
yes the chair levitation and building levitation, those he made famous. i've seen them and how they work.Originally posted by weeie:balducci is common sense to many people. the one angel explained showed how the higher levitation is done.
So you're saying that I should stop posting these "dude, everyone knows it already" threads? Because I'll be glad to without typing all these.Originally posted by weeie:Most of the david and angel's tricks are already explained/demonstrated/revealed on many websites/forums/video sharing sites.
Actually it's better to look at Cyril's tricks instead. I think he's much better and also humorous as well.

Did i say i know it all? LOL
Read again, i said Most of ...blah blah revealed...
And what has all this got to do with ego when i'm just saying you are posting something that can be easily found on net. Am i hurting your ego? Now it really makes me wonder why the start of this "magic" thread. Are you trying to prove that you know a lot and since i happened to be the guy whom you think is spoiling your plan, you are asking me to prove 'something' like you?![]()

Not to worry. The tricks that I reveal are considered widespread already. That's why you see so many of the tricks I revealed on YouTube etc.Originally posted by ejb:frankly, it do hurts if you reveal all the secrets, but i'm just hoping that that forum of yours do not and will not teach all stuff..
not saying that it's selfish to share, but if this is widely spread, not much magis will like to share their tricks anymore.
my 2 cents only.
btw, i think (most) of the ppl here are just interested to KNOW how it is done, RATHER than approach it from a learning point of view.
because setting/finding these gimmicks are something troublesome, not to say practising to make it look clean...
so the only most logical conclusion i can find on your posting is that you are tying to show others you are knowledgable in the field of magic. (Sorry if i'm blunt, but thats my personal feeling)
yes, but you may contd to post, cuz even if one knows the secret, they may not perform it just as entertaining enough (lack of practise, lack of crowd control..etc)... i seen in youtube, ppl performing same trick, but... most are just so un-entertaining..bored in short..
try explaining all the sleights takayama used in the vid below, i'm interested to know how he did some of the sleights inside too, tks

This video is the one that had a wire suspension rather than a Balducci. As explained above, it is a post-production trick. The one I posted is the true Balducci.Originally posted by Gordonator:the video in the 1st post looks badly performed. david sounds like he's drunk or something.
this one below actually looks like he levitated quite high.http://youtube.com/watch?v=418avmwfx3Y
