I've been using a home microdermabrasion kit to get rid of a scar. 2 weeks now, seems to be working pretty well so far.

Yeah it does, coz the exfoliation basically gets rid of ur dead skin and forces new skin to grow out faster. My facial skin feels raw if I grind away only at a few spots, so I use it on the whole area.Originally posted by missqi:Does it work on pimple scars?

haha.. I bought mine from Mustafa.. it's the "as seen on TV" one by Susan Lucci. Abt $139.. a colleague of mine uses a microdermabrasion product from SkinDoctors - his is $169 and it seems to work pretty well on him too.. dunno where he got it.Originally posted by missqi:where to buy where to buy?

The results depends on how deep the scar is, I guess. The surface scars on my face started to show real improvement after 3-4 days of application (scar slightly lighter, concealer can cover) .. the deep horse bite scar on the sensitive area is taking a little longer coz I dun dare to over-exfoliate..
I followed the usage instructions - 7 days straight use, then 1-2 times a week. My skin looked more visibly even on the 2nd day. Watch out for sensitive skin though, ur face will prolly feel like it got sandblasted on the 1st few tries. >"< Any peeling skin is done away with.. and skin doesn't peel afterward coz of how the cream is made, but u absolutely have to rinse off the residual crystals afterwards. -

anyway... the removal of scars depends on your scars type.... if you got a raised scars... usually done thru cutting or laser.... Some raised scars may come back... esp mole... which is not scars of coz...
Depressed scars... are removed through many other means... generally there are more ways to remove a depressed scars than a raised one... Depressed scars like knife scars and acne scars are sometime easier to remove than raised scars but much more expensive.... then again it depends on the condition again... -
There is no guarantee.... most of the case... you'll only end up with a much unnoticeable scars... 95% of the time you will not get a 100% recovery... but then again... probably 30-95%... There could be repetition of treatment to achieve better effects.... then again... who really cares if you had that 5% left... most of the time no one really notice it unless so bloody near and carefully observed.....Originally posted by de_middle:results guaranteed? -
