There are many poor people in Singapore who are working hard, facing their problems bravely. I think these people deserve our help more than those who choose to be run away from it.![]()
wow...you remind me of my sec school counsellor who told me that its the ones who are depressed and wanting to recover who need help more than those who are not seeking help for it.Originally posted by musicbox:I heard from my friend that another has faced this problem before and they will fine the family. The new trend now is to take pictures of people doing things that make you unhappy and MMS to stomp hoping that your news get to be show online along with your name.Originally posted by udontknowme:i doubt its a 'new trend'
but when a few of these cases happen in succession, then they will happily post it on the papers like 'OMG ITS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED IN SINGAPORE AND SO NOW WHAT R WE GONNA DO????'
anybody remember how a couple years ago there was quite a bit of news for a while on teenage suicide?????
same thing happening!!
ITS NOT NEW!!!!
they just never put it up till now thats all!
Didn't see any news on the MRT case on TV. Are they hidding the news? Media has been controlled and that is why it rank among the last even for suicide reports??Originally posted by dragg:maybe it is really true that suicides are no longer reported in the papers.
The pics show a gal with her skull split into two right???Originally posted by #$%^&*:I received an email about a suicide at Sun Plaza. It has gruesome photos. Is there such a place called Sun Plaza in Singapore?

Sigh~ really a sad world indeed...Originally posted by udontknowme:wow...you remind me of my sec school counsellor who told me that its the ones who are depressed and wanting to recover who need help more than those who are not seeking help for it.
i mean, yes. its EASIER to help those who go look for it. but those who NEED more help are those who are NOT LOOKING for help. people who are depressed DONT usually go and look for help. they NEED someone to drag them along to seek help...people who are depressed/commit suicide are NOT running AWAY from their problems. most are not. they WANT to but they CANNOT. to some, suicide is...say...a way of killing the monster that has been eating at them...thats all they want to get rid of...
