Extra charges for using Credit card for payment

  Have u encounter extra charges e.g 5% when you wanna use your credit card for payment? Do you think it's fair to consumer?

  Of course have, like taxi lor, some movie tickets, and worst is travel agencies. Can't really blame them, they don't profit from the 5%. They're just passing the buck.

  shops in far east plaza do the same. sim lim too. haiz... so i always pay cash..

  usually those are those small time shops who installed the facility in case customers wanna pay with CC....
  but bcos of the admin fee and transaction charges, they may not want to absorb so the customer has to pay......
  
  if u are going to these shops, prep cash or use nets lah

  Some shops by NETs you gotta pay the 2% or sumthing liddat also lor.

  I never knew that NETS is chargable with the thing they call admin fee. But soon, if you withdraw cash from counters, even in POSB/DBS, you would need to pay admin fee of up to 20 dollars.
  Banks like Citibank and ABN AMRO once charged 20 dollars due to their smaller size/operating status, but I am not happy about popular banks like POSB to charge that. There are millions of accounts in POSB/DBS, don't they profit enough?...

  i think the incentive for big companies is cos a 5% increase on an already large bill is a substantial amount and is lucrative to them, so they can use it as an excuse to earn more money.

  Wat they trying to do is to under cut each other by reducing the price with credit card charges excluded.
