How NS is like?

Normal to fear the unknown.
Just go there with a open mind.
Remember to treat the tough training as a challenge.
It is a good time to push yourself further and exercise mental strength.
No point complaining unless you have a white horse in your platoon.
You will also be housed with a bunch of strangers.
Learn to make friends and share share.
Learn to joke around and life will be more merry.
For the time being, start to jog every day at least for 30 mins.
The hardship will be on the physical body if you are weak.
Feel free to ask any questions as all the brothers in the sg forums have gone through the same experience. -

NS is worse den HELL! the instructors n superiors r inhuman! they treat u worse den dogs n slaves! lots of tekan sessions! no welfare n human rights! its so jia lat tat its beyond imagination n explanation! not enough sleep, not enough rest, not enough food, plenty of PTs!

if u have some medical conditions n highlight it during the checkup, u will den get a slacker vocation den wont be so shiong for the 2 years of ur life. otherwise if ur body not much problem den go find specialist to keng some illness or condition lor hahaha

The MOs are really sickening, to them everything is FINE even if the injury/pain you suffered during training is killing u! 1)when i was sleeping soundly in the middle of nite & suddenly my sleep disrupted by SGT or PC visiting my bunk for fun.

6) when there're weirdos who don't bathe or set their f**king alarm clocks super-early or kena some blurf**k platoon mates sabo as if like "rifle overhead" is a fun game & winner gets paid 50K.
7) when some heroes try to act tough & bully those weaker ones but when situations really called for them, they f**king MIA.
when any female species stepping into the territory could be crowned Miss Singapore.

im currently serving ns..in my 8th month.ok im no laojiao.But memories from my bmt is still fresh in my mind.So i thought i would give my 2 cents worth.
Bmt>The best part of my ns life so far.I belong to a fairly "xiong" company and life was miserable during my first week.However there is where u really make true friends.You go through shit together and survive them together.Worst,i was posted to a hellish unit with minimal facilities.So all i can say is,yes u will hate tekong life in the beginning,but in a week or 2,u will get used to it.
Pay>peanuts i would say
Food>tekong food is crappy most of the time.During the first day they will serve fairly good food,but once ur parents are out,back to the sh*t food they normally serve.They just love to present a good image to the public.But actually its exactly the opposite once u r in. -

Nothing to fear going to NS.
Firstly, if you are not one of the Elite;then you must avoid the girl who is the daughter of the Elite MP...certainly tell you to get out of her Elite Face.
Secondly; you must have balls to be called up for NS.
Thirdly; be prepared to be humiliated in the first 3 months.
Fourthly; be prepared to be kicked in the balls.
Fifthly; Call everyone and anything "Sir" if you are noth sure who he is or what he is.
Sixthly; You will discover your A Levels will still qualify you to wash the Tloilets.
