Wheelchairs are not welcome inside a new Shopping Mall shop

I think the shop simply wants to operate efficiently.
Unfortunately they include wheelchairs together with trolleys.
Maybe this violate certain law, and if someone wants to, can launch a kind of lawsuit.
If I were the manager, I will remove the wheelchair from the trolley sign, simply to avoid legal hazards.
This is apart from moral hazards, but they apparently dont care about it. -
If I walk past tt shop next time ... i will say loudly "ORHH!!, so this is the shop tt discriminate against wheelchair bound people" ...

The BCA code just provides info for barrier-free design in buildings such as ramps, or handicapped friendly facilities. Doesn't say about discrimination against the handicapped.

Totally uncalled for ban.
My colleague was just telling me about the shop yesterday. I don't think I will ever bother to try. These people don't deserve the business. Hope their business will be severly affected. -
The entrances and aisles look wide enough to accomodate most standard wheelchairs. Even for wider-sized wheelchairs it should still be able to fit. The wheelchair I'm designing for disabled athletes has a width of around 50cm for normal use - surely that can still fit in the aisles.
The very least the manager could do is to see whether the aisles can accomodate the wheelchair. If the wheelchair can't fit, then by all means refuse entry - but do so with a few kind words and a gentle explanation as to why the wheelchair can't go in.
I sure as heck will never spend my money in that shop.

It's Ridiculous leh. There is no good reason why ANYONE should ban wheelchairs. If the aisles are too narrow, fine, wheelchairers can't access it. BUT people just got to learn to be patient yeah!? It's disgusting.
