Then in that case ban little kids who may run around in the shop, knock into the shelves and hurt other customers. Ban short-sighted/astigmatic people who may not be able to see the shelves clearly without their glasses and bump into them. Ban people with the flu who may end up infecting all the other customers in the shop. We don't want the shop to get sued, do we?

I've really lost all reservations about imposing a personal boycott of the place. The intelligent, and imo moral, thing to do in this case would be to apologize and then take disciplinary actions against the fcuk-wit who was allegedly rude to the customer, or apologize and then say we are still investigating and would like the parties concerned to come forward to help in the investigation.
After all, as consumers, we can understand that a business can rarely have 100% control over the actions of their staff. However, to appear remorseless in the face of public outrage is frankly, rather silly - not to mention immoral.
I've a mind to accidentally on purpose drop leaflets proclaiming the stores fcukwittery to all and sundry...
PS: I won't becaue it is illegal to do so - littering that is. Nobody should under any circumstances do what was suggested because it is not big and it is not clever! Well, unless you really want to. -
Disability also human and also can enjoy the prority as a consumer.
Sometimes there's wheelchair bound customer in my shop and i dun see anything wrong about them although my shop is only 2000 sq fts.
ONe of my family member also wheelchair bound and what happened if we begin discriminated like the case above when we bought her out ...ofcoz she will feel upset and would ban herself at home. -

err..dun think so, by business principle, he is not wrong to prohibit the entry of wheelchair into his shop, he won't get into deep trouble lah, except for poor business for the next couple of weeks
Just that his god damn bloody attitude got the better of him...he needs to be counselled...his parents failed to teach him properly
but in singapore it's common to see shop managers with rude servicing attitude, u go sim lim square and sim lim tower and u will notice...
explained why we are ranked so low in service standards..
that's harsh reality, handicapped folks when patronizing many other shops, will always receive this kind of treatment..

All right, after skimming through this thread, I detected some very raw nerves around here, so before I start, everyone please calm down a moment and get rational...
OK, so we got this shop. In a country that is beginning to be more accessible to everyone, whether they use legs, sticks, or wheels(chair) to move around, this shop called "CANDY EMPIRE" (no offense to anyone named Candy, by the way...) dictates that you must use legs. Anything else, and they get hostile and (literally) throw you out.
OK, what can we do?
1. Since this shop's company's e-mail has been posted, we shall use our keyboards to create a din and send them mountains of e-mail so huge it dwarfs Mount Everest.
2. One word. Boycott. Don't buy. Don't go in there. Don't even think about them. Candy Empire doesn't... exist!
3. Spread the word. Utilize your blogs, mouths, forums, keyboards, e-mails, whatever you can lay your hands on to spread the word. Gossip about them (that's where our awesome and fearsome gossiping powers should have some in). Tell you family, friends, relatives, mates, buddies, enemies, rivals, strangers, whoever you know about it. When we have 3.4 million people knowing about this in this country, we will have achieved our goal.
OK, I'm just trying to be more light-hearted here, but that's what we can do for now. Let them either get the message, or lose money until they close down.
